For winter 2026–27, plan the mountain transfer and local access before buying a snow-play or skiing package. A resort description does not establish that its ropeway, lift or slopes will operate on your dates.
Auli snowfall season: a useful window, not a guarantee
Uttarakhand Tourism’s skiing page describes December–March as a peak skiing season. Use that as broad destination guidance. No exact snowfall day, guaranteed snow depth or season-opening date is verified here for winter 2026–27.
Do not promise “reliable powder from mid-December”, a blue-sky January or stable February snow. Ski operation depends on suitable conditions and the service provider’s actual programme. Before paying, ask what happens if snow is insufficient, a lesson is cancelled or access changes.
Joshimath–Auli ropeway status: the key booking check
