Landing at Jolly Grant Airport (DED) and heading to Rishikesh? You are closer than you think — the Yoga Capital is just 21 km from the arrival gate, a smooth 40-50 minute drive through Ranipokhri and Nepali Farm. Unlike Delhi or Haridwar arrivals, there is no highway traffic to fight here; the road winds gently past Thano forest before the first glimpse of the Ganga at Rishikesh.
Pre-book your airport pickup before you board your flight and land tension-free. Our driver tracks your flight status, so even if your arrival is delayed, he will be waiting at the exit gate with a name board — no extra waiting charges for normal delays. Night landing? No problem — we run 24/7 airport transfers to Rishikesh, Tapovan, Laxman Jhula and the rafting camps at Shivpuri and Byasi.
Neelkanth Mahadev Temple — many of our airport guests add this darshan as a half-day extension after check-in. The temple sits about 1,330 m up in the Pauri Garhwal hills, roughly 32 km beyond Ram Jhula, and the forest road climb is an experience in itself. Ask your driver for a combined Rishikesh + Neelkanth package fare.
Triveni Ghat — if your flight lands before 4 PM, tell your driver to drop you here first: the evening Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat is the perfect welcome to Rishikesh, and the ghat is barely 40 minutes from the airport.
Parmarth Niketan — one of India's largest ashrams and the most common drop-off point we get from Jolly Grant Airport. Most yoga-course travellers stay here or nearby in Swarg Ashram; our cabs drop you at the closest motorable point to the footbridge.
Beatles Ashram (Chaurasi Kutia) — inside the edge of Rajaji reserve, this graffiti-covered retreat where The Beatles wrote much of the White Album is a favourite first-day stop. It is a short auto or walk from Ram Jhula after your airport drop.
Rajaji National Park (Cheela range) — a bonus of the airport-to-Rishikesh route: the Cheela safari zone falls almost on the way. In season (15 Nov - 15 Jun) you can schedule a morning or evening jeep safari and we will plan the pickup timing around it.
Shivpuri — 16 km upstream from Rishikesh, this is where most rafting stretches begin. Rafting groups landing at Jolly Grant often skip town entirely and go straight to their Shivpuri camp — a 60-70 minute direct transfer. Tell us your camp name and we will drop you at its gate.
Waterfall treks — the Neer Garh waterfall trail starts a few minutes past Laxman Jhula and Patna waterfall lies on the Neelkanth road. Both make easy half-day add-ons; keep the cab on hourly basis and the driver waits while you trek.

No bus or train serves Jolly Grant Airport directly — it is 25 km from Dehradun and 20 km from Rishikesh, so every public option begins with a taxi to a station or bus stand anyway. An honest look at the alternatives, because the right answer is not always a taxi.

Count the suitcases before you count the people — luggage decides the car more often than passengers do.
