Ramnagar, Corbett and which gate
Jim Corbett is not one gate but several, spread along 60 km of the park's southern edge, and where you are staying decides which. Bijrani and Garjiya are right by Ramnagar. Dhikala and Dhangarhi are 18 km north up the Kosi. Jhirna and Dhela are south toward Kaladhungi. Sitabani is east. Tell us the resort or the zone and we drop you at the door, not at the bus stand.
The road from Dehradun is the easy kind: Haridwar, then the plains through Najibabad and Kashipur. It is the same first two-thirds as the Nainital drive, and it is fast until Kashipur, where the last 30 km slow down through the sal forest.

The main park zones open mid-November to mid-June; Jhirna, Dhela and Sitabani stay open through the monsoon. November to February is the pleasant time to drive and the busiest for the park. April to June is hot on the plains but the best for sightings. Book safaris on the park portal as early as your dates allow; Dhikala especially sells out.
A 6 am start from Dehradun reaches Ramnagar for lunch. There is no hill section to worry about, so afternoon departures are fine outside the monsoon.
