Quick answer: Kedarnath has no road. From Jolly Grant Airport the taxi covers 291 km in 8.5 to 9.5 hours to Sonprayag and Gaurikund, the roadhead; the temple is then a 16 km trek, or a helicopter from Phata, Sitapur or Guptkashi. We track your flight, pick you up at arrivals, halt you at Guptkashi the first night, and hold the driver for your return date. Fares depend on vehicle and whether you need a one-way drop or a round trip — the table below is live from our rate desk. Call 7830211223 to confirm.
From the airport it is 30 minutes to Rishikesh, then the Alaknanda road to Rudraprayag, then the Mandakini valley up through Guptkashi. A morning landing reaches Guptkashi by evening. Next morning: Sonprayag by 5 am, the shuttle to Gaurikund, and the 16 km trek to the temple — six to eight hours up, with Bhimbali and Lincholi as the rest points. Most people sleep at Kedarnath and come down the next day.
If the trek is not for you, the helicopters fly from Phata, Sitapur and Guptkashi, all on the same road we drive. Book the flight on the official portal; we time the drop for your slot and hold the driver for the return, which moves with the weather.
The temple opens in late April or early May and closes around Bhai Dooj in late October or early November. May and June are the crowded weeks; September and October are clearer and our preferred time. July and August are wet, the trek is slippery, helicopters cancel often, and the Mandakini road can close for hours; keep a spare day. Outside the season there is no trek and no flights, and the deity is at Ukhimath.
A morning landing at Jolly Grant makes the first day comfortable. An afternoon landing means a halt at Srinagar or Rudraprayag and one more day in the plan. Send us the flight and we shape it.

Yes. The driver meets you at arrivals with a name board, whatever the delay. A morning landing is ideal for this route.
We agree a target date and hold it flexible by a day. Your driver is on the phone; one call from Gaurikund on the way down puts the cab at Sonprayag next morning.
Yes. From Guptkashi the road via Ukhimath, Chopta and Gopeshwar joins the Badrinath corridor at Chamoli. Book it as a Do Dham circuit and the driver stays with you for the whole yatra.
