Rishikesh to Delhi Taxi Service

247 km  |  5–5.5 hours  |  one-way drop or round trip
Expressway IGI & station drops Any-bank pickup

Quick answer: Delhi is about 247 km from Rishikesh and takes 5 to 5.5 hours. The road runs down through Haridwar and Roorkee to join the expressway near Saharanpur, then straight in to Akshardham. Pickup from any ashram, camp or hotel on either bank; drop at IGI Airport, New Delhi or Nizamuddin station, or any address in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida or Ghaziabad. Fixed one-way fare, tolls at actuals. Fares depend on vehicle and whether you need a one-way drop or a round trip — the table below is live from our rate desk. Call 7830211223 to confirm.

The road home

Rishikesh to Delhi used to be a seven-hour slog through Muzaffarnagar and Meerut. The expressway changed it: down to Haridwar, on to Roorkee, join the new road near Saharanpur, and it is two and a half hours of uninterrupted highway to the Delhi border. Five hours door to door, and the last 30 to 60 minutes are the city.

Most bookings are a flight or a train. For IGI we suggest leaving Rishikesh six and a half hours before an international departure; for a Delhi station, six. Night runs are fine; the expressway is lit and patrolled.

Timing

All year, all hours. Fog in December and January affects the last 40 km into Delhi; we slow rather than stop and add half an hour. Kanwar weeks in July and August close Haridwar's centre and we route round it. The Delhi end is slow in the evening peak; we plan around it.

For an IGI international flight, leave Rishikesh at least six and a half hours before departure. Domestic, five and a half.

Rishikesh to Delhi taxi — questions people ask

How long is Rishikesh to Delhi by taxi?

About 5 to 5.5 hours for 247 km, via Haridwar, Roorkee and the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. Add 30 to 60 minutes for the drop across the city.

Can you drop me at IGI Airport?

Yes, any terminal. Tell us the flight time and we set the pickup; we do not take a booking that leaves under six hours for an international departure.

Will you pick up from the Swarg Ashram side?

Yes, from either bank. The Swarg Ashram side is reached by the road round via the bridge; it adds a few minutes and nothing to the fare.

Are tolls included?

Expressway tolls are at actuals and itemised on the bill. The fare table on this page shows the vehicle rate.

Can I go Rishikesh to Delhi overnight?

Yes. Night departures are common, the expressway is lit and patrolled, and you arrive in Delhi before the morning traffic.
