20 km Ganga Aarti drops Station & ghat drops

Quick answer: Haridwar is about 20 km from Rishikesh and takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the Haridwar end — the last 3 km to Har Ki Pauri can take longer than the other 17 on a festival day. Fixed fare, pickup from any ashram, hotel or the Tapovan side, drop wherever you say: the ghats, the station, the bus stand, a hotel. Fares depend on vehicle and whether you need a one-way drop or a round trip — the table below is live from our rate desk. Call 7830211223 to confirm.

Short road, long queue

The two towns are 20 km apart on a good road, and the drive itself is 25 minutes. What varies is Haridwar. On an ordinary weekday you are at Har Ki Pauri in half an hour; on a Somvati Amavasya, a Kanwar week or a festival, the town centre is closed to cars and the drop is at the nearest barrier, with a walk. We know the barriers and which side to approach from, which is the difference between 40 minutes and two hours.

The most-booked version of this trip is the evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri and back to Rishikesh after — we drop you close, wait, and bring you back, on one fare.

Timing

All year, all hours. The Kanwar Yatra in late July and August closes Haridwar's centre to vehicles for days at a time; we still run, but the drop moves to the outer barrier and we tell you at booking. Festival days and Somvati Amavasya are the same. Early morning and late evening are the clear runs.

For a train at Haridwar Junction, allow an hour from Rishikesh whatever the day; the station approach is the slow part.
