The descent, and the station
The first 35 km are the Mussoorie hill road down to Dehradun: 30 minutes of bends that take an hour on a Sunday afternoon when the whole hill leaves at once. Below Dehradun the road is fast through Doiwala and past Jolly Grant to Haridwar. Two and a half hours on an ordinary day, three on a busy one.
Most people book this to catch a train. Haridwar Junction has more Delhi trains than Dehradun and the station approach is slow, so we ask for the departure time and set the pickup from it, with a margin for the hill.

All year. The hill road slows on Sunday afternoons and long-weekend evenings when Mussoorie empties; we add an hour to the pickup in those windows. Kanwar weeks in July and August close Haridwar's centre, and the station is still reachable. Winter mornings can be foggy below Dehradun.
